 Behind the Screen

Public platforms don’t always tell the truth.
Below are select videos from my stepfather’s YouTube channel, "Stay Black in America" (whatever that means...), paired with honest commentary. This page exists to contrast his online presence with the lived reality behind closed doors.

“Death is a

Horrible Separation”

Posted shortly after my mother’s death.

In this video, Clinton talks about the pain of death and separation. Yet behind the scenes, my mother's belongings were already in trash bags, being sorted, discarded, and handed out just a couple of days after her passing and before we’d even had her funeral. While he films inauthentic YouTube videos attempting to show grief, the reality behind the camera tells a different story.

This wasn’t just insensitivity. It was part of a long, painful pattern: emotional abuse, infidelity, controlling behavior, and spiritual manipulation that left my mother isolated, silenced, and diminished in her what wasn't even a home. He used faith as a shield and control as a weapon.

The grief he displays on camera rings hollow when measured against his actions.

“Making God the Center of

Your Life”

Religious language masking personal wrongdoing.

Clinton frequently invokes God, quoting scripture and giving moral advice. But his actions toward family show a pattern of emotional, spiritual, and physical abuse. The God he speaks of does not excuse the harm he has caused.

Scripture should never be used as a weapon, and faith should never be twisted to preserve a false image. What he preaches publicly has never matched the pain he inflicted privately.

“Celebrating

First Grandchild”

A fabricated relationship built for views.

In this video Clinton speaks as though he has a bond with his first grandchild or with my sister. But the reality is starkly different. My sister has lived in Japan for the past eight years, and in all that time, he has never once called her, visited her, or even acknowledged her life there in a meaningful way.

He did not reach out when she became pregnant. He did not celebrate the birth of her child. He has not asked to see pictures, hear their voices, or connect in any real way.

Yet in this video, he performs affection that doesn’t exist. He used a stock photo of a Japanese baby one that is not his grandchild and tried to pass it off as personal and meaningful.

My sister was furious, blindsided to find herself and her child used as props in a dishonest display.

This video is not a tribute it’s a performance. One that feels hollow, staged, and deeply unsettling like many of his other recordings. It’s not a reflection of love. It’s a manipulation of narrative, carefully crafted to manufacture admiration he hasn’t earned.

“Happy Marriage Life”

Selective storytelling...

This video paints a picture of a loving and faithful marriage. Yet the reality includes infidelity, verbal abuse, and emotional manipulation.

It is painful to hear him twist history into inspiration, to see him cherry-pick moments that serve his image while ignoring the ones that broke my mother's spirit.

Abuse can also "look like" a happy marriage on the outside, even to family who refuse to acknowledge the truth.

aboutTHAT

These videos are not isolated moments of contradiction, they are part of a pattern. A man who weaponizes religion, misrepresents relationships, and crafts a public image that hides deep harm. This isn’t about canceling anyone. It’s about clarity, accountability, and truth.

This is how he describes himself publicly. Disjointed thoughts, spiritual overtones, and an soft request for donations. Positioning himself as a leader and visionary. But behind these words is a man who has caused deep pain, lied about relationships, and hidden behind faith to avoid accountability.

What you see here is not just a strange channel bio. It’s a glimpse into the delusion that allowed abuse to be disguised as authority. This is why Behind the Screen exists... because truth deserves the final word.
