S.A.V.E. (Survivors. Advocates. Voices. Emerging.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the greater Washington, D.C. area, dedicated to supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, amplifying survivor voices, and driving systemic change to protect children.
We believe that healing is possible, that every survivor's story matters, and that silence is no longer an option.
WHY WE EXIST
One in four girls and one in six boys will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday. Yet the stigma, shame, and silence surrounding this issue keeps too many survivors isolated and too many perpetrators protected.
S.A.V.E. was founded to change that. We exist to create a world where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered to heal. Where advocates are equipped to make a difference. Where communities have the tools and knowledge to protect children before harm occurs.
WHAT WE DO
We serve survivors and communities through three pillars:
Healing ProgramsThrough initiatives like The Healing Circle, B.U.D.D.Y. Connect, and Still I Rise, we provide survivors with safe spaces, peer support, mentorship, and practical resources to move from surviving to thriving.
Advocacy & AwarenessThrough our S.A.V.E. Our Children campaign and legislative efforts like the S.A.V.E. Child Act, we fight for policies that protect children and hold abusers accountable. We also publish Survivors Magazine, a quarterly digital publication that amplifies survivor voices and provides hope-centered resources.
Education & ResourcesWe equip families, schools, organizations, and communities with the knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to childhood sexual abuse.

OUR FOUNDER
S.A.V.E. was founded by Samira L. Jones, a survivor, author, and resilience leader who transformed her own journey of healing into a mission to help others. Through her personal experience and professional expertise, she has built S.A.V.E. into an organization that refuses to let survivors walk alone.
OUR COMMITMENT
At S.A.V.E., we don't just collect trauma stories. We help survivors write new chapters. Every program, resource, and initiative is designed with one goal, to help survivors reclaim their voice, their power, and their future.
